Halloween is just a few days away and we are feeling the festivities here in the office! With all the fun Halloween models flooding all these 3D model websites, we can’t help but get some ourselves! For the past few weeks, we’ve all been 3D-printing tons of Halloween decorations to decorate our desks, and some have definitely gained more attention than others.
Today, we’re going to share with you some of our favorite 3D-printed Halloween decorations from this year.
Friends With Way Too Many Legs
One of the reoccurring themes for Halloween is spiders (and all those other critters with an excessive amount of legs)! We’ve gathered some of our favorite 3D-printed spider models so you can print them too!
Halloween Pumpkin Spider Transformer
Like the name suggests this one is quite a fascinating one with its transformable model. Why choose between a pumpkin and a spider if you can get both?! This model by Megawillbot immediately catches our attention because it feels so cute but also fits the creepy Halloween vibes.
It might require some skills to 3D print and assembles as it was separated into 14 thing files in Thingiverse, but it’s definitely worth a print! Just look at its cute face, just put some googly eyes on and you’ll have a perfect companion for your Halloween this year.

Halloween Scorpion Pumpkin
Still in a similar spirit of cute and creepy friends with way too many legs, we have the Halloween Scorpion Pumpkin by Ellindsey, who claims to get his inspiration from Megawillbot’s Halloween Pumpkin Spider Transformer. This one has the classic jack o’lantern carving on it instead of just a pumpkin, but both are definitely super fun to make. With that said, Ellindsey himself claimed that “this is a somewhat challenging model to assemble, with a lot of parts (60 to be exact, we count it), and a lot of tight-fitting pins to hold the parts of the toy together.
But don’t let this discourage you to create this 3D-printed Halloween toy! Although it is a lot of parts to print and assemble, the final result is definitely worth the effort. Ellindsey also provides a tutorial with pictures on the model page to help you get through the assembly process better.

Giant Posable Halloween Spider
Well this one is in a whole different category from the last two as it’s no longer creepily cute like those. This one is straight-up a scary Halloween decoration that will scare people, but is also too cool to not print. Bet you won’t want to be close to it, let alone have dozens of them crawling around your bed. Audrey2 —the creator of this model also mentioned that he purposefully “made the features all a bit more scary, even incorporating a hint of a haunted pumpkin face into the back of the abdomen.” 
With more than 17K downloads on its Thingiverse page, this 3D-printed Giant Spider model is definitely one of the scariest models out there to pique people’s interest for this Halloween season. How big would you 3D print this Giant Spider and where would you put it?

This one is definitely not your usual spider for Halloween decorations, but it sure does scare people off. First popularized by its appearance in the movie Alien, facehugger immediately become a monster staple for the extraterrestrial fandom as it has now been adapted into a character in various different movies and cartoons. It might not be your traditional Halloween decor, but it is way more than scary enough to be hung on your wall (or face).
This life-size facehugger model created by Agisis has been downloaded 127K times since it was first uploaded in 2015. Imagine if all of these 3D-printed facehuggers were gathered together in one place. It’s definitely a nightmare come true.
The giant facehugger is a more advanced model to be assembled for sure. You’ll require some super glue or an ABS slur as Agisis named it to fit this model together. There are at least 52 different parts that need to be assembled before you can have a facehugger as your 3D-printed Halloween decor, but it definitely is worth the hassle.

Bones & Skeletons
Another Halloween classic is the bony friend of ours, skeleton and skull-like figures. Some of our favorite bones and skeleton this year are a pretty accurate articulated skeleton and two lamp covers.
Assembled Skeleton
This skeleton model created by Davision3d easily caught our attention because of its silly-looking features. Although it's quite an accurate representation of our human skeleton with all the hands, arms, and even finger movements, the weird eyes Davision3d added into just make him look so silly. It’s also one of those models that require some skillful assembly, but Davision3d has created a full-on PDF tutorial for it. So nothing to worry about. It doesn’t even require any glue or bolts, so no other tools are needed (other than the 3D printer of course).
In Davision3d’s words, “Works great as a toy, Halloween decoration, or just something cool that can sit on your desk. If you like you could even put it on puppet strings. Or put a rope around its neck and hang it in your car.” Such a versatile little friend to get us through Halloween.

Skull lamps - Voronoi Style
Very different than the previous one, this one doesn’t require any assembly and you can 3D print everything in one piece. What first catches our attention is how beautiful the light reflections that came through this model are! Just look at the picture, it’s not just great for Halloween decor. In fact, you might as well use it as your night lamp cover every night.

Halloween Skull Lamps
Also created by shiuan, this skull lamp cover has a similar characteristic to the Voronoi one, except that the skull on this one look a little less realistic. But both are very cool and create such pretty light reflections. We wouldn’t recommend putting a candle inside as it might be a fire hazard with the 3D printed material be it resins or filaments, but a little LED candle wouldn’t hurt. Especially if it gives such a beautiful result. It’s a not-so-classic Halloween decoration that you don’t want to miss.

Skull Windchime
If you can 3D print one skull, why not just dozens of them in one go? Dave from DaveMakesStuff created this spooky skull windchime with different heights and prongs. There are options for ten and twelve prongs for the holder, and different chain lengths with six, eight, ten, and twelve. Great options so you can personalize your own 3D-printed windchimes.
Dave offers his skull windchime model in both Thingiverse and Thangs, but he did mention that the one in Thangs is an updated and more stable version, so if you want to 3D print it yourself, make sure to check it out. The Halloween Classics
You can have all the bones and spiders around, but there are more to Halloween than those two. Let’s take a look at some other classic Halloween decorations that you don’t want to miss!
Stacked Bat Lantern
Bat is another popular animal that symbolizes Halloween other than spider. Therefore, a bat themed Halloween decoration is something that you don’t want to miss out on. The Laptop-Guy created this easy to print and easy to assemble Stacked Bat Lantern. It only consists of five flat parts and you can use glue or double-sided tape to put them together. Then, simply put a lightsource inside. We recommend using LED tealight or other small lamps instead of candle to avoid burns. It’s a fun and super easy Halloween decoration project.
